Hi my name is Fuji and I've been collecting sports cards off and on since the 80's. I just recently started collecting again after taking a break in 2001. When I was younger, I focused on collecting rookies. In the early 90's, I shifted to inserts and parallels.
Then from the late 90's until I quit in 2001, I switched back to rookies. I also tried to collect autographs and jersey cards, but this soon drained my limited resources, so I quit the hobby and sold off a huge portion of my collection.
Personally, I never thought I'd go back to collecting cards, but that changed when I saw some students trading cards a few years ago. Since the hobby has become so expensive, I've decided to take a different approach this time.
This time, I'm going to focus on keeping my collection down to a minimum. I am only going to collect cards of my favorite players and favorite teams.
